Emergency Food Distribution:

ARC distributed 3.5 million pounds of food to 32,000 beneficiaries for the 6 month period following the quake. Through the food distribution project, ARC distributed a total of 1,584.62 MT of food items to the 46,000 beneficiaries of Bhirpani and Bagh Districts of AJK. The food items were initially distributed as monthly rations for the month of November; however, due to severe weather conditions resulting in limited mobility, the rations to the affected families were increased to cover the following months of December 2005 to March 2006. The month wise distribution detail is as following:
